It’s so strange to me that the year that is over. It snuck up on me this time. All of a sudden I noticed various blogs doing “Best of 2010″ lists and the like.
And then I had a lightbulb! As a “Best of” list would difficult with the four of us, I thought I would just send out a survey to my fellow blogites and demand that they answer. And despite a couple of double answers, I feel we got a well-rounded representation of the best of the best from 2010, (although my answers are mostly a love letter to Cate Tiernan), and good view of our different tastes. On to the survey:
*NOTE* The books didn’t necessarily have to be published in 2010, you just had to have read them in 2010. I have noted if they were published earlier. Books that will be published in 2011 were not allowed.

Katie: I didn’t cry at any new books, but re-reading John Green’s Looking for Alaska made me tear up, as per usual.
Christine: Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver – The ending was just waterworks for me. You have to read it to understand.
Caitlin: Mockingjay. I may have almost thrown the book at the wall at one point.

Katie: I’m going to cheat because I re-read The Mortal Instruments this past winter, and I loved City of Glass and at the time I read it, it WAS the series conclusion. Plus I don’t think I’ve read any others this year.
Christine: Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
Caitlin: Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins (I swear it was the only conclusion I read this year. Everything else left me HANGING!)

Caitlin: I really want to say Immortal Darkness by Cate Tiernan but I seem to be trying to answer all the questions with that series. Other than that I would say I am most looking forward to…no…no definitely Immortal Darkness by Cate Tiernan.
