Every month, or so it seems, I go on reading binges at the beginning, then slow way down at the end.
Despite having an impressive pile of both real and virtual books, I only read one complete book this week. It felt like I read more than that. But I didn’t. Therefore, my eGalleys are the same as last week, except I finished the Goddess Test, which was amazing. And my physical is pile has developed a couple of fixtures. I’m not sure when I’m going to finish the Uglies series, or start the Chaos Walking series but apparently it isn’t going to be soon.
And a friend lent me two books….and I bought four. Heh. So, withouth further ado, this weeks Pile of Shame!
So, bought this week we have:
The Iron Witch by Karen Mahoney – I’m about half done with this one and it’s very different than I thought it was going to be. For some reason, I never picked up on the fact that it was a contemporary paranormal…that was a shock to me…but I’m liking it.
The Iron Thorn by Caitlin Kittredge – It’s so PRETTY! I have very little idea what its about. But I’ve heard good things. And the blurb sounded a little steam punk-y, and I love steam punk!
Haven by Kristi Cook – This sounds as if it is the very thing I’ve been looking for. And I thought this about a different book recently and I was very wrong…so, I”m hoping to be right this time.
0.4 by Mike Lancaster (which is being called Human.4 when it’s released in the USA in March) – I just love anything dystopia, you know that.
And lent to me by a friend, we have:
Little Fur: The Legend Begins – Isobelle Carmody is one of my favourite authors ever. I’ve been reading her for over ten years and I love everything I’ve read. These ones are a little more MG than her usual, but they look really cute! Although, I do wish Isobelle Carmody would focus on finishing her old series instead of starting new ones. Sigh.
Little Fur: A Fox Called Sorrow – See above.
