It’s Readathon time again! Yay!
Hedgie guarded my first reads while I slept.
I hesitated in participating this year because I have to be at work this afternoon at 3:45 and then I finish at 10:15 at which point I’m going to catch the end of my friends Thanksgiving dinner. So it’s going to be a long day. But I’m behind on my Goodreads goal and I have SO MANY books to read. Also, I just really, really enjoy these readathons. Such a fun way to connect with other bloggers and other readers. Find out about books. Make new friends. Drink good tea. Etc.

Other readathon’s I’ve usually twittered from the blog twitter. I might use my personal twitter this year just to MIX THINGS UP. But maybe not. Also, I’m completely over-thinking this.
START TIME: 5:00am: Lets Hope I’m awake. And have a cup of tea.
Actual Start Time: 5:07am: I am in my cozy reading spot, I have my London Fog and some yogurt. It’s much too early. And now I’m gonna post some pics and do the opening questionnaire before I settle in for early morning reading.
1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
Vancouver!!! And think this might be my first readathon where it isn’t pouring rain outside! Yay!
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?
Curtsies and Conspiracies by Gail Carriger, I guess? I don’t know. I just chose a bunch of random books this year hoping I really, really love one of them.
mmmmmmm snacks
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
So many! I’m definitely looking forward to my bacon and eggs second breakfast. But also my apple cupcakes. And my jambalaya soup. And more London Fogs!
4) Tell us a little something about yourself!
I don’t know dude. It’s too early.
5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?
I don’t know. I actually thought I had a pretty good balance of reading vs. commenting vs. snacking/napping last year so I’m pretty much hoping for that again.
6:09am – 29 pages read. 1 cup of tea. 1 blog commented on.
I’m not really enjoying the book I’m reading. But I got it’s sequel for review so I do eventually have to read it. Ugh. I’m torn about cutting my losses and picking something else, or trying to push through this one.
7:56am – 74 pages read. 1 cup of tea. 1 blog commented on.
Just made the most delicious hot chocolate ever…and then it exploded all over my cozy reading spot. Spent half an hour cleaning it up. Now drinking a less than stellar cup of instant mocha that mostly tastes like sugar. Sigh.
11:21am – 206 pages read. 2 cups of tea, one cup of mocha. 1 blog commented on.
Wasted some time on Tumblr but had a good laugh so I cannot regret it. I’m currently reading The False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen which written very well, and it’s keep me intrigued but at the same time, not much has happened and I keep wanting it to get somewhere.
Had delicious bacon and eggs and an apple cupcake. Not sure what I’m going to do next, food/drink-wise. Perhaps my raspberries? Who knows.
