As I have stated in my other reviews of this series, I do not understand why I love these books. The writing isn’t that great, the recap of previous books is tedious, and the plot truds along as if it were impersonating a snail.

BUT I LOVE THEM!!!!

I should have known that my first official date with Logan Quinn was destined to end in disaster. If we’d gotten into a swordfight, or been ambushed by Reapers, I’d have been more prepared. But getting arrested mid-sip at the local coffee hangout? I didn’t see that one coming.

I’ve been accused of purposely helping the Reapers free Loki from his prison—and the person leading the charge against me is Linus Quinn, Logan’s dad. The worst part is that pretty much everyone at Mythos Academy thinks I’m guilty. If I’m going to get out of this mess alive, I’ll have to do it myself…

Gwen and Logan are finally going on a date! BUt…it’s horribly interrupted with pain and misery and then a series of unlikely events happen and everyone at the school hates Gwen again.

Or hates her more. I’m not sure they ever stopped hating her.

As much as it is, slowly, shown that council chaps had a good reason to believe bad things of Gwen I just cannot believe that they would announce these supositions in front of the entire school. That seems petty and illegal and wrong and such.

Other than that, I enjoyed this book immensly. I love the unholy alliance Vict and Nox have formed. I liked that we got to see how her friends stuck by her and how a couple of people turned out to be friends.

And I loved each and every second Gwen and Logan spent together. I wish there was more of them together. For also writing adult paranormal romance, Jennifer Estep doesn’t put in many romantic moments between Gwen and Logan which is basically what I was reading this book for.

The ending I really, really loved. It was bittersweet and perfect for where the characters were. And I can’t wait to see how all the fallout will affect the future of the story.

Also, Nox was adorable and I want one.

You should read this book series if you like mixing mythology, cute demon puppies, sarcastic swords, and a bunch of hot people kicking ass. Though keep in mind the above mentioned critisms and that I do tend to skim quite a bit.
