Today marks exactly one year since we all started blogging at whatchYAreading.net! Yay! And just like that week in August, 2010 we’re going to do a weeks worth of exciting Giveaways and reviews! We’re kicking it all off today with Legend by Marie Lu! We’re going to save a proper, in depth review for closer to the books release date, but today Caitlin’s going to share her first thoughts on this exciting new dystopian series!
Caitlin: I got the fantastic opportunity to meet Marie Lu recently and tell her how much I loved Legend. The opposing point of views are handled very well, and I thought the different text colour was…well, different. It was something I’d never seen before in the style of a book. I guess my favourite thing about the book was how it boiled down to family and what the characters were will to do for their family and to preserve their family. And that valuing family was a universal understanding. That these two characters could come together from such different walks in life and understand one another was amazing.
